“Extreme-detail microrealism portraits in a bigger and broader composition piece that flows completely with the body angles and muscles.”

I am Oliver. I tattoo as HOLI, out of my own shop in Horsens. My head works a little crooked and the ideas come out skewed, and that is the part people keep coming back for. What I want from a project is room — a body I can compose across, and enough trust to take it somewhere neither of us had drawn yet.

II — Work
Black and grey composition across shoulder and arm with a radial geometric anchor and several winged figures

2025 · Shoulder to elbow · Five full days

Five days.
Full freedom.

Five full days, back to back, and one hundred percent artistic freedom. I anchored it at the shoulder with the geometry and let the figures fall down the arm from there. The photograph is from the end of the fifth day.

Read the project

Side angle where geometric lines and figurative elements follow the length of the arm
Wide circular structure across the whole back with winged classical figures and a central geometric core

2024 · Full back · Three days

Three-day back

Three days on a full back. I posted it at about ninety-five percent and said so, because that is what it was. The last five percent came later, and that one never got photographed — so this is the stage you can see.

Detail of the back composition
A falling classical figure through circular celestial fields with sun and moon contrast and thin coordinate lines

2024 · Upper arm · Full artistic freedom

Falling figure

One of my absolute favourite pieces, and full freedom again. The post I made for it opened with a line from Marcus Aurelius. The line set the weather; the figure is its own.

Working title — Holi to confirm the public name

Detail of the upper arm composition
Several classical figures and portraits bound together by fine geometry along the length of the arm

2023 · Shoulder to forearm · From my own rows

Aristotle

One of my own want-to-dos, claimed by someone who wanted it. In this photograph the forearm is still fresh and the upper arm has healed — the same arm, two states, one frame.

VI — The studio

The studio

SKRN.CREW

I co-own SKRN.CREW. Since June 2026 it has been full time — my own shop, my own room. The shop gives me the space, the crew and the sparring. The work is mine.

Three ways in,
one way through

There is no right way in. Arrive with a finished idea, take up one of my own directions, or use the desk to work out what you actually want. All three end in the same conversation.

“Often it's a collaboration between me and the client to ensure the design is 100% something the client likes.”
“Stencil placement can change a lot in person — sometimes the tattoo doesn't fit the placement we planned, so we re-design or find another.”
Direction
I decide the composition, and to a degree the design and the motif. What you bring is the reason it exists.
Placement
The stencil goes on before anything is certain. A design that worked on paper can move, shrink, or get redrawn once it is on you.
Sessions
Most of what I take on is large and runs over several long days. Five in a row is a real number from a real project, not a limit.
After
You get your aftercare from me, at the shop. Wording under review

Send me a message

I read every enquiry myself before any date or price is agreed. It is not an automatic booking, and most of what I say yes to is larger, multi-session work.
